The growing astronomical and technical knowledge enables the beginning of space travel – the possibility of transport and travel into space. According to the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) definition, space begins at an altitude of 100 km and at the beginning there was a clear distinction between space travel and astronautics. The classic separation between aeronautics and aerospace is increasingly blurred by the technical development of suborbital spaceplanes and rocket planes. It wasn’t until the 20th century that people’s dream of traveling into space began to become a reality and we were able to travel to the celestial bodies that astronomers have been observing for a long time. An exciting era began: from the space race during the Cold War to the globalization of space travel and commercial use, which has become an integral part of our lives.
